God damn it!

My car is dead. Oh, shit. It broke down last Friday. I was going to my school and I was waiting for U-turn signal near my school. Suddenly, it happened. My engine was turned off, so I tried to turn it on again. I tried, tried, tried..... but it didn't work. Marshal, a teacher of GGLS, and other friends helped me. They pushed my car;; It was lucky that it happened near the school. If it had stopped on San Tomas, it would have caused more problems.
After school, my uncle changed my car battery, and my car was turned on! I drove it to go home, and it broke down again on San Tomas. Fortunately, it was turned on again, so I could go back home. After arriving home, my uncle and I went to my uncle's friend's car service center. The mechanic said my car had to be changed two sensors. He also said that he wasn't sure whether my car would be all right or not after changing sensors. He told me that I had to wait until next Monday because he didn't have one of the sensors. Thus, I waited until Monday and I was so~~~ depressed.
On Monday, I called my uncle and asked him when I could get my car back. What the hell.. My uncle told me what the mechanic had said.
-The mechanic changed the sensors, but my car still had problems. My car had to be changed its switch box. He didn't have that switch box, so he ordered it, and it would arrive on Thursday. I could get my car back on Friday.-
Oh, my god. I hoped my car would be dependable, durable. My car disappointed me. Even if I get my car back, I'll always be nervous because I don't know when it'll stop again. I've got misgivings about my car. I can't trust it. Nobody knows whether it'll happen again or not. That's why I'm so sad. Furthermore, I'll have to pay big money. Damn it. Suddenly, I'm sadder-_-;

I started playing tennis

Today, I went to a park with James at the lunch time in order to play tennis. We had enough time because we didn't have 4th class. Of course, I drove a wrong way; I'm such a good driver, but only one problem is that I don't know roads well. Shit! Anyway, We had never played tennis before today, so we didn't know how to play tennis. Playing tennis was totally, definitely, absolutely different from playing ping-pong. Our play was so bad~ ha! James made a home-run when he tried his first serve. The ball went to an apartment over the fence. We lost one of balls; It was difficult, but it was pretty funny. Later, play more~ Wait, Maria Yuryevna Sharapova!

My car needs to take a tune-up and change engine oil.

Sometimes, the engine is turned off. When I stepped on the accelerator after I stopped, it suddenly died; At first, I thought it was not a big deal because it had happened rarely. It didn't happen when I was driving. However, while I was driving slowly at the parking place in my school, it happened. Dangerous... Don't do that Emilie~

Thus, today after school, I went to car auto center that my uncle had told me. I have to memorize the map around here. I usually drive to wrong ways; Anyway, I asked to take a tune-up and oil-change. Employees told me something, but I couldn't understand because I didn't know well about cars. I called my uncle and he talked with the employee. He tried to discount the price, which was $80, but it wasn't accepted. After that, he told me, "Go back home. There is another car auto center around my store. Tomorrow, go there . I'll tell the car auto center. You'll be paid $40 there."
Then, I needed to decide how to tell them. Honestly, or not. Finally, I lied; I said I would come back tomorrow because I hadn't known the price so I didn't have enough money.

By the way, I hope all of my car's problems will be solved after tune-up and oil-change. Don't take my money any more!

Hey There Delilah

Hey there Delilah
What's it like in new York city
I'm a thousand miles away
but girl tonight you look so pretty
Yes you do
Time square cant shine as bright as you
I swear its true

Hey there Delilah
Don't you worry about the distance
I'm right there if you get lonely
Give this song another listen
Close your eyes
Listen to my voice its my disguise
I'm by your side

Oh it's what you do to me
Oh it's what you do to me
Oh it's what you do to me
Oh it's what you do to me
What you do to me

Hey there Delilah
I know times are getting hard
But just believe me girl
Someday I'll pay the bills with this guitar
We'll have it good
We'll have the life we knew we would
My word is good

Hey there Delilah
I've got so much left to say
If every simple song I wrote to you
Would take your breath away
I'd write it all
Even more in love with me you'd fall
We'd have it all

Oh it's what you do to me
Oh it's what you do to me
Oh it's what you do to me
Oh it's what you do to me

A thousand miles seems pretty far
But they've got planes and trains and cars
I'd walk to you if I had no other way
Our friends would all make fun of us
and we'll just laugh along because we know
That none of them have felt this way
Delilah I can promise you
That by the time that we get through
The world will never ever be the same
And you're to blame

Hey there Delilah
You be good and don't you miss me
Two more years and you'll be done with school
And I'll be making history like I do
You know it's all because of you
We can do whatever we want to
Hey there Delilah here's to you
This ones for you

Oh it's what you do to me
Oh it's what you do to me
Oh it's what you do to me
Oh it's what you do to me
What you do to me

Independence Day

Yesterday was a holiday. I, James, Lizzie, and Penny were going to go shopping to Great Mall. I was supposed to drive, and I was going to go to James' home at 10:00. While I was having breakfast, Penny called me and said that she had missed the bus. We were supposed to meet at Lion Market but we couldn't. Thus, I went to Hankook Market and Penny also came there. Penny's friend drove for her. They didn't know the name of the market, but they knew it was on El Camino, so I was driving on El Camino. When they arrived there and told me the name, I already passed that market; Anyway, we met. After that, we went to Lizzie's home, James's home, and Great Mall.

Before arrived Great Mall, I thought there would be a lot of poeple there because holidays are usually on big sale, but there weren't. We went to a lot of stores. But I couldn't find any clothes I wanted. Thus, I didn't buy any clothes before lunch.

Cinnamon Cake. Lizzie bought it for dessert. I can't eat that kind of food;;

Penny and James

Me and Lizzie.

After lunch, we started shopping again~! I bought two T-shirts. There were not enough things to buy because other people had already bought good things.

We went back home around 3:40, but we had a problem. Actually, I had a problem. The problem is that I didn't know the road to go home well. In my defense, I just bought my car a week ago, so I don't know. I need to buy a map and memorize it. Anyway, I drove a wrong way, and it took 10 minute. Penny had to go to her work place until 4:00, but she was late because of me. Sorry, Penny;;

California Driver License

Yesterday, my driver license arrived my home. I'm going to hate DMV because of my picture. Who is it-_-; That picture isn't me. Anyway, I don't need to carry my passport anymore~. My license is my ID. It's so convenient. If I lose my passport, it'll cause some problems. However, I can just leave it at home. So~ good, man!

Tomorrow, I'm going to go to Santa Cruz with James and Alex. We're looking forward to going to there. Beach~! I've never gone to any beaches since I came to America. I'm supposed to drive my car to there. I heard that the way to Santa Cruz was kind of dangerous. Hahaha. It's OK, I can do it. Moreover, I have my insurances. Medical insurance and car insurance. Let's go!

Friday, June 29, 2007

Finally, I got my car insurance~!

I went to Farmers insurance company on El Camino Real. All of the officers were Koreans. The officer who counseled me studied at GGLS more than 10 years ago. She was kind and tried to discount the insurance rate. I paid $332.8 for six months. Myoung, who is my cousin's boyfriend's cousin and a schoolmate and a colleague in church, paid $270 for six months. However, I couldn't get some discounts. The officer explained that reason, but I already forgot; Now, I have only $22; I need to get a job to feed my car. I spent almost $2000 to get my car. My car price $1500, DMV resister $139, Insurance $333.

Anyway, after I got my car insurance, I drove on San Tomas to my school. It was so~~~ good. I used to ride my bicycle on San Tomas, but! no more bicycle, yeah~ Let's run Emilie!

Thursday, June 28, 2007

One more day bicycle-_-

I didn't buy my auto insurance because when I got my car, time was already 6 P.M. Thus, I have to ride bicycle again. I can drive my car without the insurance, but my family and aunt's family will worry about me. Ah!! DMV! They are too slow! Nobody in Korea can work as slow as DMV! Anyway, I brought my car~ She is parking in front of my home. I wanna drive~

Wednesday, June 27, 2007

I bought my car~~!

This is it. Today I bought it~ She is Ford Escort SE. She was born in 1998. I had to leave it because she needed to resister at DMV. Thus, I'm gonna go to DMV after school in order to take her back. After that, if I buy an insurance, finish! Yeah~

Before I bought it, I and my uncle tried to find other cars on streets. We saw some cars, but no cars were better than my car. I could have bought '92 VW Getta. It is good that I didn't buy Getta. Its price was $2000, and my uncle offered $1800. We said we would call them back. When we came back home, I tried to find other cars on the Internet, and found my car. We called, visted and bought! I'm an owner driver~ I don't need to ride my bicycle any more~ Actually one more day; Tomorrow. Anyway, I love you, Emilie~ See you tomorrow! JJOK!

June.25.2007

Yesterday was the last day of last session. After class, we needed to wait in order to buy books of next session.

We exercised in gym, swam, and took sauna. After that, we played games with alcohol. 3,6,9 game, Taiwanese games.

We were playing Taiwanese dice game.

We made an offer.

Actually, my uncle made an offer. I searched some cars at craigslist.com and showed it to my uncle. He called them, and he and I went to see a car. This is that car.

http://sfbay.craigslist.org/sby/car/358753280.html

My uncle examined that car. That car was quite good. Interior was so clean because owner is a high-school girl. I thought this car was small before I saw it. It was large enough. My uncle and I liked that car, but my uncle wanted to discount the price. He offered $1500 for that car. The owner said, "Tomorrow, someone is supposed to come and see our car. If he makes an offer higher than you, I'll sell my car to him. However, if he makes an offer lower than you or same, I'll sell it to you." Thus, my uncle gave his cell phone number to him. I have to wait until tomorrow night. Mm.. I wanna buy this car. I wish I can buy this car. If I can't buy this car, I'll be so tired in order to buy a car because my uncle doesn't have enough time. Please give me the car. Somebody pray for me;;

----------------------

Oh, damn! The owner sold the car to another guy. I think I should have bought it by $1600. It's so stressful. I don't wanna ride my bicycle anymore~ I must find other cars. Why doesn't god bless me? I go to church every week!

Academic Writing I : Types of Movies I like

- rough draft

Types of Movies I Like

I like to watch some kinds of movies. The first movie genre I like is Comedy. Comedy movies make me laugh, and they have happy endings. Thus, I never feel sad when I watch comedy movies. Comedy movies, moreover, are not serious. I like simple things than serious things. Watching and laughing are all I need. The second genre I like is Action. Action movies are also simple. In addition, they are splendid and exciting. I am excited when I see action scenes such as chasing cars, flying by airplanes, amazing fighting skills, etc. The third genre I like is Fantasy. Fantasy movies show many marvelous things. Seeing what I have never imagined is so terrific. On the other hand, some of them tend to be too childish. I think it is because children like fantasy movies, so they need to be childish. I like fantasy movies as long as they are not childish. In my opinion, The Lord of The Rings is the best fantasy movie. The last movie genre I like is Musical. Musical movies show singing and dancing. Singing and dancing are cheerful, so I also become delight. I have never seen any musical movies which are boring. Furthermore, actors and actresses in musical movies are very good at singing. It is amazing experience to listen to songs sung very well. These four movie genres are the types of movies I like. They have similarities. They are not serious, complicated, or sad. However, they are funny, simple, and exciting. I want to smile every time, and I do not want to be serious. Therefore, I like these movies. In conclusion, the reason I like these kinds of movies is because of my personality.

------------------

I think this article doesn't make sense; What the hell did I write? Writing is still so hard for me. I have to study hard, but I'm too lazy. Damn;

Finally, I got my driver license

Today, I took a driving test, and I passed! Yeah~

This is my interim driver license

This is my score sheet. I made 8 errors, but it's OK. If I had made more than 15 errors, I would have failed the test.

I can buy a car! If I buy a car, I'll never ride a bicycle again;; Which car should I buy? I'll buy a cheap, used car. Less than $2,000. Around $1,500. I already decided the name of my car. Emilie. Come on, Emilie. I'm waiting for you~

I wanna post every day, but

There are two reasons that I don't post every day. One of the reasons is that I'm lazy. Writing is kind of annoying. The other is I do nothing special; I don't have a lot of things to do. It's such a pity. I wanna travel! Maybe someday, I can do it if I have a car and enough money. I know I must study hard, but I also know this moment is the last moment I can enjoy. Next year if I go back to Korea, I'm going to continue going my university. I must study my major hard in order to graduate because my grade is not good. Shit;; After graduate university, I might get a job. If I get a job, I won't really have enough time to enjoy. Therefore, this moment is very important for me. Study hard when I study, and play hard when I play.

Two days later, I have an important thing to do. I wish I'll do it well.

I think my articles are gloomy because I write in English. Lack of expression;

A Scene from a Dream

Two years ago, I experienced very strange things when I lived alone. While I was sleeping in the center of my room at midnight, I heard somebody yelling outside. I was curious, so I woke up and approached the window. I saw two men yelling at each other in front of my window. One of them was old, and the other was young. When they finished fighting, I turned my body back in order to sleep again. After that, I was very shocked, for I saw my body lying on the floor. When I woke up in the morning, I was too dizzy, so I was not able to do anything for a day. Some days later, I wanted to go outside while I was sleeping. Suddenly, I was running very quickly on streets. There were a lot of cars on the left and right, yet nobody saw me. I came back home and slept again. In the morning, I was exhausted as if I really had run. I have never experienced that again after that. I have no idea whether these experiences were dreams or not. These two experiences are the weirdest things that I have ever had.

This is not a lie. I don't want to experience this again;

Ocean's Thirteen

Today, I watched 'Ocean's Thirteen' with Kate, James and Sean. Although I didn't understand everything, this movie was so~~ good.
At first, we had a problem. Our tickets were written 'AUD#7'. We were waiting in AUD#7. However, another movie, Nancy Drew, started playing. We went out and saw a notice board. Our AUD# was 1. Crazy ticket; We came in AUD#1, but there was no seat we sat together. We went out again and told employees. We wanted to change movie time, so the employees exchanged our ticket and gave us free movie coupon! Oh, yeah. I'm gonna watch Fantastic 4 by this coupon~.
We went to American buffet to eat dinner before movie. Kate paid our food. It was already second time. Next time, I'll buy her tasty food. Anyway, American food's taste is kinda strange for me yet. Oh.. When can I get used to American food? Is it possible? I have no idea;

I'm such an idiot;

I must wait for a week to take the driving test. I don't wanna wait any more, but I have to. Next time, I must pass the test.

A Memorable Event in My Life

The hardest time in my life was when I lived alone. I wanted to earn money to study English in Australia, so I decided to work in a fabric company instead of my military service. This company had three work times -08:30~16:30, 16:30~00:30, 00:30~08:30. My work time was changed every week. At first, I lived in a dormitory with two coworkers, but each of our work times was different. It was very inconvenient, so I decided to live alone. Then, I got a room and started living alone. While I worked, I earned about $750 a month, and I saved about $600 a month. Although I got about $350 per two months as a bonus, I did not have enough money to live. In winter, I did not heat my room to save money. I just relied on a heating pad and three blankets. My parents wanted to help me, but I refused it and told them I was using a boiler. I wanted to live by myself. Sometimes I felt it was difficult, but I was able to endure it because of my dream, which was to go to Australia.

After two years, I finished my duty. Finally, I saved more than $17,000. When I told other people about this story, they were surprised. They asked me why I did it, and they also wondered whether it is possible. Some of them thought I was crazy. However, I do not think so because I had a dream. Now I am in America. Although my purpose was Australia, it is not a big deal. Things happen. Anyway, I think this experience was good for me. I learned the worth of money and the way that lives by myself. Suffering makes people stronger. I will never forget this experience, and I will think about this when I feel difficulty.

Why?

These days I can't concentrate on studying. Why? What's wrong with me? I can't help daydreaming when I try to study. Is it because I want one thing very strongly? I'm not sure. I have some things to need to think, though. I was going to go Utah when my second session ends. However, I think I'd better change my plan. My parents are going to come to America on August, 7. If I take one more session at my school, the session ends before that day. Some foreign friends of mine want me not to go. Moreover, there are a lot of ESL schools in CA. Some of them don't have a lot of Koreans, so I think if I stay in CA, it will not be bad. Hm.. What am I going to do?

One more thing..CAR! LICENSE! It is hard to borrow a car to take a driving test(it is called Behind-The-Wheel Test). Why does the DMV(an office that we can get a license and do any other things about car) have no car that we can take driving test? I must borrow a car from someone to take test. If I waited to borrow my cousin's car, I would have to wait more than 3 weeks. I tried to find any other ways, and found. Driving School.. As expected, money is the best;

After I came back home, I went to Natalia and David's home. We were supposed to see a movie today. All of us didn't have a car. We wanted Ian, Taiwanese student, to go together because he had a car, but he didn't want to go. We had to take a bus.
America is crazy because public transportation is very very very inconvenient. We waited a bus for almost an hour. Oh, god.

-David and Natalia. They are brother and sister. They are Indonesian.

-David and me. Oh, I hate my face;

-This is a one-day bus ticket. $5.25..too expensive.

Anyway, we went to the theater, we watched 'The Pirates of Caribbean 3'. I had waited for an year to see this movie! Wow, it was very good! Although I couldn't understand everything, I understood story. Its running time was almost three hours. I could've died because of pee;
After this movie, we were going to go an Indonesian restaurant, but we changed our schedule because it was too rate. We just went back David and Natalia's home, and I went back my home. Riding a bicycle at night in America is dangerous and scary;

Today is Memorial Day. I don't know what Memorial Day is, but today is holiday, so I didn't need to go to school!
In the morning, I went to the park where is near my home with Candy. Candy likes to go out very much.

-Candy on the table. She is gorgeous, isn't she?

-Candy chasing pigeons.

-A lot of ducks.

-An adult duck and baby ducks. They're so cute!

There are a lot of parks in America, and there are a lot of ducks and some squirrels in parks. When I went to the park first, I was surprised because I could see animals easily.
I like to go to the park with Candy because some people talk to me. Although the words they say to me are very simple, it is interesting to talk with native speakers.

Blaise Pascal

Blaise Pascal(1623-1662)

Blaise Pascal was a French mathematician, physicist, and religious philosopher. He was born in Clermont-Ferrand, France. He lost his mother at the age of three. His father was a local judge and member of the petite noblesse, who also had an interest in science and mathematics. He had two siblings. They moved to Paris in 1631.
He was a child prodigy who was educated by his father. At first, his father wanted him to learn Latin and Greek, but young Pascal showed an amazing aptitude for mathematics and science. One day, however, his father found Pascal writing mathematic diagrams in his room. From then on, the boy was allowed to study Euclid. At the age of 16, he formulated one of the basic theorems of projective geometry, known as Pascal's theorem and described in his 'Essai pour les coniques' (Essay on Conics, 1639). In 1642 he invented the first mechanical adding machine. Some years later, Pascal formulated the mathematical theory of probability with the French mathematician 'Pierre de Fermat'. Pascal's other important scientific contributions include the derivation of Pascal's law or principle, and his investigations in the geometry of infinitesimals. His methodology reflected his emphasis on empirical experimentation as opposed to analytical, a priority methods, and he believed that human progress is perpetuated by the accumulation of scientific discoveries resulting from such experimentation.

Academic Writing I - A Person Who Has Made a Difference in My Life

A Person Who Has Made a Difference in My Life : Jisung Park

Jisung Park is the best soccer player in Korea. But some years ago, he was not famous because his physical condition was not good. He was small and thin. He also had flat feet. A person who has flat feet cannot run for a long time. So, none of Korean soccer clubs did not want him to play soccer for their team. He had to go through hard time. He went to Japan and entered one of Japanese soccer team which was not popular. But he did not give up and tried hard. He proved that he could play well even though he did not have good physical condition. Because of his effort, he was able to play at 2002 Korea-Japan World Cup as one of Korean national player.

After the World Cup, he became a player of one of Dutch soccer club because of his incredible activity. He also played very well i Holland. Finally, he became a player of one of England soccer club, Manchester United, which is the best soccer club in the world. He overcame everything.

As I saw his success, I realized that effort is the best way to succeed. I learned that if I tried something hard, it would be done. I try to do my best every time as he did.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Every time I need to someone who is important for me, I write about Jisung Park. It is good because I don't need to worry about who I should choose to write. And I can show people who Jisung Park is.

I finished Grammar in Use

Yesterday, finally, I finished Grammar in Use! Good for me~ Actually I didn't read Appendix, whatever~
But I don't remember all things of the book. I need to read one more time. Let's start!

Saturday, May 19, 2007

I have a problem.

Only one problem.. It makes me hard. What am I going to do? I have no idea. Who knows that? I hope it will be solved well.

Friday, May 18, 2007

Oh, my god!

Reading class is very very difficult; Teacher's speaking is so fast and her voice tone is so low. Reading text is very difficult. What am I going to do?

Today, I make a driving test appointment on DMV homepage. But, the fastest day I can take the test is next Friday. Oops.. I have to wait until Friday. When! When can I buy a car?!

Thursday, May 17, 2007

Finally, my school became funny

Because there are more foreign students in my classes at this session! I always wanted this situation. And 'Speaking Globally' class is exciting. At this class, we talk about global situation. But, we usually speak freely! This is the best class I've ever taken. The teacher of this class, Marshal, is cool and funny. He call me, David, and Natalia trouble makers; Why! I'm not. But I'll;

And today, in Academic Writing class, there was a new student. Her name is Liana Braunova. She is from Czechoslovakia, and has blond hair. She sit beside me. And we became partner, we interviewed each other. Oh, I was so nervous because she had blond hair;;

Anyway, from now all I need is a car! Come on, my pretty car~. I'll name my car when I buy it. What name is good?

My Final Assignment at Reading Class at Last Session

Complexion

The author, Richard Rodriguez, is the son of Mexican immigrants. He talks about living in America as a person who has black skin. His complexion is dark. But all his family does not have black skin. His father seems like French. His mother seems like Italian or Portuguese. Their skin is not black. His older brother and youngest sister also have not black skin. Only his older sister has a complexion as dark as his. Because of her black skin, his older sister had to go through hard time. He also experienced some racism.
When he was young, his aunts were pleased because their children had light skin. One aunt recommended her sisters remedies that could bear white children, but it caused some problems to children.
He talks about other people’s experiences that he heard. Two of his cousins were refused to enter to an “all-white” swimming pool. A lot of dark people were connected to poverty because they worked in menial labor. His uncle, who had to be the head of the family because of his grandfather’s death, did construction work. And he was mistreated by white people. When he went back to Mexico, he looked older than his real age because of mistreatment.

My second session in GGLS has been started.

My Classes
Grammar 8, Speaking Globally, Academy Writing I, Reading 8

I wished that there were a lot of foreign students in my classes. Oh.. Three of my classes have ten students. And half of them are foreign students. It is better than last session. I will get along with them. But there is a little strange thing. Most foreign students who take same class with me are women. One of them is a man. And most Korean students who take same class with me are men. Interesting..;

Anyway, today I went to the DMV(Department of Motor Vehicles) to get a license. When I came in there, I didn't know what I need to do. So, I asked an old man who looked like a guard. He told me friendly, so I could do what I needed. I enrolled and took a writing exam. And I passed! Yeah~ I missed only two questions. Although it was a little difficult, I was lucky. Now I can take driving test and I will get a driver license if pass it. OK, I will buy a car ASAP. And then a beautiful life in America will come to me. A car travel!

The Question I posted at Yahoo.com

I am a student who is studying English in Santa Clara, CA. I want to do volunteer works. I will be worthwhile if I do volunteer works. And I think it is helpful for me to improve my English. Because I think I will get opportunity that speak in English with native. Of course, I can't speak English well. But I really want to improve it.
Last week, I asked to my English teacher, who teaches English in ESL school, about volunteer works. She introduce the Internet site, Craigslist.org. I've found at that site, but there was 1 work in Santa Clara. It was not the work which I can do. Please show me how I can find volunteer works. Thank you.

http://sfbay.craigslist.org/

Today, I asked my reading teacher, Marina, about some place where I could do volunteer services.
"Teacher, can I ask you something? I heard... that... I can do.. volunteer services..... if I want...." That was what I said..T.T
Anyway, Marina introduced that site to me. This site contains a lot of information! Jobs, communities, sales, people who want to find someone else, and so on. So I searched this site but I have not found what I wanted yet. Someday, I can find the volunteer service what I want. I think if I become volunteer, I will get many chances that speak in English. Good..

Korean Students

There is a lot of Korean students in my school, GGLS. Damn it! All of my classes have half or more Korean students. Students of Reading class are all Korean! What the hell.... So, I rarely talk with Korean students. Of course, it would be fun if I talked with them. But it is not helpful for me. They always speak in Korean. Why did they come here? Are they rich? Did they come here to make Korean friends? I can't understand them. The Korean students who I talk are two. One is my classmate in Grammar class. I think he is trying to improve English. Another is a person who I met at church.
Anyway, it is hard to make foreign country friends in my school. So far, I made 4 friends. David, Natalia, Sheida?, Asami. David and Natalia are brother and sister, 19 and 20 years old. They are Indonesian. Sometimes I eat a cloud cookie with them. Sheida is Iranian, she is 27 years old, and she got married. Asami is Japanese, actually I am not close with her. When we do activities with partner in Grammar class, teacher decide partner as me and her.

Writing is always difficult. I don't know whether above sentences are correct. If somebody see this, tell me please. But I think nobody come here. Good job~

Homework - Listening Class

Its important for parents to talk to their babies a lot to help them learn their language.
I agree. I think conversation is the best way to improve language ability. If babies hear the language constantly, they will absorb the language slowly even if they cannot understand what parents say.

It would be better if everybody in the world spoke the same language.
I agree. Although all of language teachers will lose their job, it is very convenient that everybody in the world speak the same language. People who travel the other country will not have any problems that cause by language. And we can save the time that learn languages, translate, and so on.

Homework - Listening Class

1. The Internet is the best place to find information on almost everything.
A: I agree. When I want to know something, the Internet is a very convenient way. I just turn on computer and search to get information. There will be a lot of results that I want.

2. Information on the Internet is usually quite accurate.
A: I agree. A lot of information are accurate. So it is helpful. But I should be careful when I find information. Because some people diffuse wrong information intentionally. It can cause confusion.

3. The government needs to control the kind of information that can be on the Internet.
A: I agree. The Internet has a lot of information. It contains the information about sex, violence, and something bad. That information can affect children badly.

4. Every student should have a laptop computer and an Internet connection.
A: I don't agree. The Internet is convenient but it is not essential. Although I can't use the Internet, I can live well.
